Details: Reluctantly selling my wife´s 2002 Lexus ES300 in mint condition with only 99k miles!! That´s an average of just over 9k miles a year!! This car has been superbly maintained both mechanically as well as with constant washing and seasonal waxing. Recently, I replaced the timing belt and water pump as well as an oxygen sensor and a brand new Interstate battery!! If you are in the market for a Lexus ES then please do your research. Changing the timing belt and water pump @ 90k miles is extremely important!! Don´t be fooled by those who suggest it isn´t necessary or that the car runs fine without it. These are excuses from those who haven´t done the work!! I can´t say I blame them, because the job is very labor intensive and thus, super expensive!! If a seller says that the work was completed, ask for documentation to support their claim. Of all the Lexus ES300´s out there, I would venture to say that a small number of them have had this work done. If the work isn´t done and something happens, you will find yourself looking for a new engine!! I´m not trying to scare you. The information is out there on the web, check it out!Now for my vehicle; The silver exterior is almost perfect. It shines and has minimal signs of wear. The exterior condition is more in line with a 2-3 year old car. What I personally enjoy about the silver paint is that it is very forgiving when it comes to dirt. Although I wash the car very often, I cannot always compete with Mother Nature. That being the case, the car can sometimes get dirty. Unlike a black or a white car, the silver never looks dirty. The interior is equally, if not more, impressive than the exterior. The black leather is rich and soft. Lexus spares no expenses when it comes to the fine details. This leather has no cracks, gouges, burns (we don´t smoke) or rips. The quality of the leather is top notch and something that can´t be articulated, only experienced. If you´ve sat in other cars with leather interior, you will know what I´m talking about....instantly! You would think that by looking at the car that it was only driven on weekends!! Complimenting the supple leather are beautiful cherry mahogany woodgrain accents throughout. The car has every option except factory navigation. Some of the options include; heated seats, self dimming rear view mirror, compass, on-board computer, steering wheel controls, dual climate control, power everything including moonroof (no leaking), keyless entry with alarm, 6 disc CD changer, etc. The ride; Lexus is renowned for it´s luxurious ride quality and this vehicle is a great example of the workmanship that goes into that reputation. I have owned other Lexus vehicles and I can honestly say that the ride quality is equal to a previous LS400 that I owned. The interior cabin is library quiet, the transmission shifts as smooth as silk and the car takes the bumps so softly. Driving down the street feels as if you´re floating on a cloud. Any comparison to the Toyota Camry is insulting. The sound proofing, high end amenities and finishes separate this vehicle from its Toyota cousin. I would not be selling this car however I need to get an SUV (Lexus RX330) as I am expecting my first child. We own the car outright, title in hand, registered and driven daily by my wife (maintained by me). Feel free to bring your mechanic, this car needs NOTHING. All of the recommended maintenance has been taken care of by me because I didn´t think I would be selling the car. This car is ready to go another 100k plus miles and beyond! Dealers selling this car with similar or higher miles, without any of the maintenance, are asking 10995-12995! I have my car priced to sell at $8900. Despite my obvious bias, I truly believe you won´t find a nicer, well maintained, luxury car at this rock bottom price. If I didn´t need to sell it so quickly, I would´ve priced it higher.
