It needs a few seals, cleaning, and fluid replacement. It is completely off the car @ the moment. Might cost upwards to $3500 for a brand new; $1000 for a remanufactured transmission. Lexus wants $800+ alone for labor just to remove the transmission. The fluid was $110(12 quarts for complete refill, only uses one specific type available only from Toyota dealership: Toyota T-IV), filter & gasket $45, transmission front shaft seal $20, rear shaft seal $15, engine crankshaft rear main seal $35.It has about 165,000 miles, it was recently in a minor accident. No frame damage. Needs a new front driver fender, some minor paint, and a small dent in the rear removed. Engine runs perfectly, only has a small slow power steering leak(this year & model is known for this). Just had a $3,000 paint job less than a year ago(car stripped down to bare metal, primed, painted). I´m only the 3rd owner. No rust, has only been in Northern CA from time it was bought, southern CA for 2 years, and then Reno for going on 4 years, Has been only serviced up to 25,500 miles ago at the same Lexus dealership since the day it was bought, only synthetic premium oil ever used, have all records. Clear title, passes smog, California model(no heated seats or mirrors, no trac control). Engine only slightly modified(intake, ecu flash, injectors, etc). Since buying the car a little over 2 years ago, I have invested almost $8000 into it, only needs some minor work and care.
