Details: The time has arrived to find a new home for my 1995 Lexus SC400 Luxury Coupe. This automobile has all the standard Lexus Luxury power accessories plus every option available from Lexus in 1995 ... moonroof, heated leather seats, traction control, Nakamichi Premium Sound System with 12CD changer and rear spoiler. While there were no iPods in 1995, hence no direct input, the sound system includes a cassette tape deck which nicely supports a cassette adapter. The wheels are virtually unmarred with almost new matching Yokohama tires and a full sized spare tire. The transmission is a four speed automatic with overdrive. The engine is the 4.0 liter, four cam, 32 valve, 250HP V8 with electronic fuel injection ... a true powerhouse which necessitates one to use cruise control when possible. While there are a couple of rock chips and one small passenger side door ding, for a vehicle that is 17 years old, the overall interior and external condition is simply outstanding. I am the third owner having purchased the vehicle in 2005. It has always been garaged since I have owned it ... and I am pretty certain the second owner did also. The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles and the only mechanical issue has been an alternator replacement ... the battery was replaced at the same time. The CARFAX shows a totally ´clean´ history with mileage that has averaged about 5,500 miles per year for a total of around 93,500 miles.The external color is Sandstone Beige Metallic ... Lexus code K49. Arguably, the color is the most impressive feature of the vehicle. I searched for months to find one this color ... and a quick scan of AutoTrader shows about 130 total SC400s for sale (all years 92-00) and only about 10% of them are Sandstone Beige Metallic. This is a color you either love or hate.There´s really not much else to say ... except difficult times require difficult decisions ... and parting with this vehicle is a difficult decision. If you are familiar with Lexus vehicles and especially the SCs, you know they have a reputation for tremendous reliability and longevity. Again a quick scan of the 130 SC400s listed on AutoTrader, less than 20 have lower mileage than this one ... many are over 150,000 miles ... some over 200,000 ... a tribute to the fantastic design and workmanship of Lexus.My asking price is $8,250 ... but if you can convince me you will care for the vehicle as I have, I might be persuaded to take less.
